It’s crazy to think that summer is almost over! The older I get the faster the days go…does the same thing happen to you? A few months ago, Thomas and I had made a list of the fun things we would like to accomplish this summer and having a picnic was a must for me. In the past, we’ve only had picnics with friends and family but not one where it was just us.
I picked Central Park because it’s New York City’s most iconic park and its beauty is like no other. Finding a picnic spot in the park can be a bit daunting when you think about the amount of people who visit (fun fact: Central Park is one of the most visited urban parks in the US). But when it came to deciding where we wanted to set it all up-I knew I wanted to be near the Bow Bridge. Inspired by the neo-classical and renaissance era, it is to me Central Park’s most romantic and beautiful bridge. It is often the spot for proposals, wedding day photo shoots and even a few movie scenes! We made sure to arrive in the morning since we knew how crowded it would get. We were able to get a spot with the bridge right behind us and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Despite the heat wave on that day, my lover and I had a perfect Sunday.
