I’ll start by saying that for many years I was very low maintenance when it came to my make-up routine but in the last year or so I started playing around with adding more. It really has taken me a while to embrace what different brands can do to highlight specific areas of my face. I wanted to share with you my morning makeup routine because it’s easy and quick! I have to confess that even though I called it my morning makeup routine it really doesn’t change much for a “night out” or even the days that I shoot for the blog. The important thing for me is to find products that enhance and are effective because adding more products to achieve a certain “look” really doesn’t work well for me – I either find it intimidating or just get lazy! Hope you found some value in this post – let me know if you’re interesting in learning more about my skin-care routine as well!
1: After I wash and add my skin-care products to my face, I apply a dime size amount of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer to my face – I usually use my fingers but you can obviously use a brush. I’ve been using this tinted moisturizer for some time because I love how dewy it makes my face look – this is hands down one of my fave products because it immediately makes me look like I’ve put more effort into my routine. 🙂
2: I then apply a dot of the Onomie brightening concealer – okay, so you ALL need this. I’m not joking and this is not a sponsored post blah blah. This is by far the best eye concealer I’ve ever used! This product has a bunch of anti-inflammatory and circulation active ingredients that are great for dark-circles so it really brightens my eyes and makes me look 10x more awake and fabulous. You have a variety of great shades to pick from and the one I chose was Trotula, night neutral – if any of you do decide to buy and give it a try, please leave me a comment below! I would really like to hear your feedback – even though I know you will love it as much as I do.
3. I recently started applying the Benefit Brow Primer for the growth benefits I heard it had. Since I just started using it very recently I can’t really speak to it but what I can say is that it def. preps my eyebrows which makes it so much easier to pencil them in.
4. After I give the primer time to dry then I apply the eyebrow pencil – I’ve been using the Anastasia eye pencil for a few years now and I love it!
5. Anastasia contour palette – okay, so I don’t apply this everyday but on some mornings I do use this to highlight certain areas of my face – this palette really comes in handy for me since I like to keep my make-up products to a minimum on my face and bathroom counter ( NYC bathrooms are tiny so I really try to keep all my products to a minimum ).
6. Finally, I apply a nude lipstick or lip gloss. This one featured here is my fave and very affordable!
I am def going to try the under eye concealer- is online the only place to purchase as I hate online shopping? Are most of these products at sephora? Thanks for the tips friend!
