detox green soup

Summer is around the corner and as we start pulling ourselves together and shedding the pounds we gain during the winter months, we also need healthier meals to complement our workouts. One of my biggest girl crushes, who I rely for healthy eating recipes and workouts ( okay, okay, I’m also obsessed with her entire life lol ) is Hannah Bronfman – she created the perfect recipe for a detox soup and I want to share with you today. It’s easy and a great replacement for lunch or dinner – would love to hear if any of you try it!

HANNAH BRONFMAN’S DETOX SOUP 

Ingredients: 

1 zucchini, chopped

1 small white onion, chopped

1 asparagus bunched, chopped

2 celery stalks, chopped

3 handfuls of spinach

3 garlic cloves

Broth of choice

Directions :

sauté garlic and onions

add chopped veggies

sauté 30 min

add stock or broth and bring to a simmer

pour veggies into blender

add the spinach

blend until smooth

pour back in the pot, season it (with season of choice)

simmer for 20 minutes

serve it in soup bowls and enjoy!!
