Our Happily Ever After

If years ago you would have told me that I was going to get married in Italy I would have laughed and said “I wish”! My wedding was everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. Thomas and I celebrated the best week of our lives surrounded by our closest friends and family in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. So, why Amalfi Coast, Italy? (so many people ask us this question!)  Well, the truth is Thomas and I wanted our wedding day to represent our values and our lifestyle. We LOVE to travel, we both are very particular about who we share our memories with and wanted to make sure our wedding was small and to be honest, in a different lifetime I was probably born in Europe hahaha (obsessed with old world architecture and all the history).  But we can’t take all the credit because it also helped that we were lucky enough to find the best wedding planner/travel consultant. Melinda warmed our hearts and those of our guests (my husband jokes that he will name our first daughter after her…because she holds such a special place in our hearts) and without her this day wouldn’t have been possible (not exaggerating one bit).

Two years have passed and the memories created that week still bring tears to my eyes-from the moment everyone arrived to watching my father (who is super shy and always very quiet) literally jumping out of excitement as he played beer pong for the first time with my friends, to sailing together to Capri and finally to marrying the love of my life on the most perfect day. I can go on forever but in honor of our second year wedding anniversary I just wanted to share a few photos from our special day. I didn’t want to overload you with so many of them so maybe I’ll make it a tradition to post a few at a time every year on our anniversary. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to ask further questions in regards to having a destination wedding in the comments section below.
