Coffee shops are more popular than ever. I don’t want to call myself a coffee enthusiast but I probably should. One thing you will learn is that I don’t actually drink coffee for the caffeine but more for the taste and this therefore makes me EXTRA picky with my choices. No offense to Starbucks (I occasionally will have a White Mocha for the sweet taste) but I usually go for the smaller businesses. Here is a list of my favorite coffee shops in Brooklyn that not only serve amazing coffee but also have created a great ambiance for their consumers.
DEVOCION: As you can see (pictured above) this coffee shop is quite beautiful-this space is probably my fave and the coffee is AMAZING! They work with farmers in Colombia to bring you high quality coffee beans. The staff goes through a rigorous training and if you ask they will tell you that the owners mean serious business. Don’t just take my word for it-go and try it and I promise you that you will be as in love as I am. Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
BITTER SWEET: This spot is in my hood and it’s my go to for my everyday coffee consumption. La Colombe is my favorite coffee brand (Devocion is my second…although it might move to my first since it’s so incredibly good!!) and they serve it here. The shop is a hole in the wall (literally) but EVERYONE in my neighborhood seems to love it as much as I do. The line is always very long but the barista’s are fast and efficient so you won’t be waiting too long. Oh, and don’t forget to grab one of the Dough doughnuts with your latte! 🙂 Fort Greene, Brooklyn
HUNGRY GHOST: This darling little spot is also around my neighborhood and I love to go here for my chai latte’s (they make it with Dona Chai-my fave 🙂 ) they also give you a stamp card which eventually gets you a free coffee (this is great for folks like me who go so much). The one by me doesn’t have WIFI but the Prospect Park location does. Fort Greene or Prospect Park Brooklyn
TOBY’S ESTATE: Love hanging out here for both the coffee and work space. It’s a great space for those that want to do some work and eat real food other than croissants (I mean croissants are real food but may not fill you up..lol). Williamsburg, Brooklyn
BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE: This needs no introduction…by now you’ve all heard of it! For those that haven’t, you will quickly realize that they don’t mess around…I mean it’s basically a coffee lab and watching the barista’s serve you your cup is an experience. The coffee has a deep flavor so I have to be in the mood for it but it’s certainly great for you coffee snobs. Oh, and check out the “Brewing Guide” on their website-is pretty cool! 🙂

You’re stunning! Love this post. If I ever make it to Brooklyn, I will definitely try these out. I am a coffee addict.
I love this idea! Small cofee shops are the best, and usually have the best coffee!
