Eating Churros at Holiday Market

Lourdes Martin at the Christmas Markets

NYC really gets in the festive mood during the holidays (yes, I’m speaking about it like it’s a person…haha). Between the beautiful Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center, the Rockettes in Radio City, the 5th Avenue window displays and Christmas markets in the city, it all feels like a larger version of Santa’s Workshop! For those visiting NYC during the holidays or looking to shop for unique gifts then you must visit one of the many Christmas markets! Depending in what area of the city you are in, this is a great place to grab hot chocolate with your friends and family and stroll while taking in all the holiday cheer. Here are a few of my fave markets:

BANK OF AMERICA WINTER VILLAGE AT BRYANT PARK-with 125 shops and an ice skating ring right by it, this one is def. one of the best! This location is also the closest to Rockefeller Center so it might be a great idea to do it all in one day!

UNION SQUARE HOLIDAY MARKET-this european-style market has over 150 shops that include local makers and popular eateries like Momofuku-this market has something for everyone!

COLUMBUS CIRCLE HOLIDAY MARKET-pictured above, this is personally a fave of mine because it’s right outside Central Park! Besides being in such a picturesque location, the shops are all very lovely and it’s not as big as the others so you don’t get too overwhelmed. When you’re done shopping you can walk across the street to the Time Warner Center and warm up at Bouchon. 🙂

GRAND CENTRAL HOLIDAY FAIR-not that you need an excuse to go inside the beautiful Grand Central Station…but this would be a way to kill two birds with one stone…perfect for the out of town folks since the station might be on their list to tour anyways. Also great if you are in need of a last-minute gift but need to take the train right after…very convenient.

Hi! I’ve just found your blog through galmeetsglam.com and I absolutely adore the space you’ve created! Beautiful layout you’ve got 😀

I’ve never been to New York before, or even the states actually (I live in Australia) but I’ve always dreamt of going to New York city. The show Friends may or may not have something to do with that.

Love the photos you’ve shared along with the very enjoyable post!
