By the time you all read this – Thomas and I will be on our way to the great American city of Charleston! We are super excited to get away for a few days and relax! We visit an American town/city every 4th of July and hope to keep this traditions for years to come.
It was fun to plan my outfits for this trip, because if there is one thing I know about Charleston is that it’s an elegant city filled with history and old memories. That nostalgia in a city really inspires me. 🙂
So what did I pack? Well, I decided to keep my outfits with a romantic feel and go with lighter fabrics and color. I’m definitely taking options I can repeat while I’m there – like my off the shoulder top and flat pearl sandals, that practically go with everything.
So what should you take for a 5 day trip to Charleston!
midi skirt – Charleston is very hot but it’s still a sophisticated city so I think it’s important to dress the part! I think keeping it a bit conservative and classy is perf!
off the shoulder tops – causal yet chic and can wear with shorts and skirts – a great travel piece.
dresses – if there is a city you want to wear a dress in then this is it! You will be strolling beautiful old mansions and plantations – it will certainly reminded you of the older days – so wouldn’t you want to be wearing a flowy dress while your’e at it? 🙂
pink palette – no explanation needed. right?! pink couldn’t be more perfect for Charleston! If you’re not into the bright pinks then opt for a pale hue which goes with anything incase you wanted to wear it multiple times during the trip.
one piece bathing suit – A one-piece is a classic and trending so I bought a black one! I found a great deal at Top Shop for $14!!! Crazy, right? Here are some similar options:
boater hats – just the style you need to go from a city look to the beach – this hat fits both so I will be wearing practically the entire time I’m there.
flat sandals – I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t obsessed with my zara pearl sandals!! I plan to wear them all summer long! Not only were they comfortable but i can dress them down or up! As much as I admire a pair of beautiful heels, I don’t find them practical especially when I travel. The ones in the picture above are from Zara and they are sold out in store – but I tagged similar options below.
