Hello!

I’m back. It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post. The transition to a new city has been smooth but nonetheless time-consuming so I apologize for my short disappearance!  We have now been living in Chicago for 2 months, (can you believe that!?) – I’m finally getting into the hang of things. The summer months are upon us and all that’s on our minds is long strolls on the beach, rooftop drinks with friends and backyard barbecues with family. For many of us, the summer months are a time for relaxation and getaways. So why am I calling the next few content pieces “An American Summer”? Well, because between our recent move to Chicago, the upcoming Fourth of July festivities and my desire to focus on American brands that inspire sun, warmth and simple days, I couldn’t find a better time to focus on the current season.

In the next few weeks, you can look forward to neighborhood guides, staycations, short getaways, and American brands that transport you to a new place.  These features are going to be extra special because it’s the beginning of me turning a new leaf in a new place and sharing it all with you. I hope you’re all having a great start to your summer and that you are using it as a time to unwind and relax with family and friends…or in my case, using this time to make new friendships in our new city. 🙂
