When we travel, we like to find little gems…what does mean exactly? It means that we are always searching for people and places that warm our hearts and leave us wanting more. These places are usually off the beaten path and are deeply rooted in the culture of the country we visit. During our stay at The Lisboans, we became acquainted with Prado Grocery and learned more about what this cozy sh0p was all about!
This grocery store is the culmination of a project which includes the boutique hotel The Lisboans and Prado, a restaurant with the same name. The grocery fits perfect with the property because it only sells local products from Portugal and serves as a way for guest to shop and cook during their stay. Products like natural and organic wines from local producers, cheese, fresh bread – Thomas and I purchased a bottle of wine and olive oil to bring back with us as a memento.
We were so happy to have found this gem in Lisbon – even if you’re not staying at The Lisboans, stop by for a sandwich (made in front you with the freshest ingredients) and grab a bottle of wine, take a sit and enjoy! Cheers.
