Raise your hand if you love coffee!? ( It’s not like I can see you do that but just go along with it! haha) My coffee addiction has nothing to do with caffeine but more to do with taste. I actually enjoy drinking it and choose to be very picky about what coffee brands I choose to drink from. Put it this way, I only drink Starbucks if I’m at the airport or if I’m on the road far away from civilization. Another fun fact about my coffee drinking habits is how slow I drink it. It takes me hours to finish a cup of coffee at work – I truly just enjoy the taste of it…even if it gets cold. So since I’m always in search of coffee shops I thought it would be fun to create a list of coffee shops in different areas of the city so that you’re covered no matter where you go!
TriBeCa
Maman TriBeCa – The perfect meeting spot to enjoy with someone because it’s cozy, delicious and has several locations in the city! Obviously, go for the coffee but if you’re in the mood for something sweeter then definitely try the lavender hot chocolate! It’s my favorite. 211 West Broadway, New York, NY 10013
West Village
Cafe Dante – this cafe/bar restaurant first opened in 1915 and is now one of the top cocktails bars in the city. Tucked in the streets of Mcdougal Street, this cafe will give you old-school vibes. Grab the New York Times from their counter while sipping your espresso shot and maybe grab your camera for a picture or two…it’s too cute of a spot not to take pics. 🙂 79-81 Mcdougal Street, New York, NY 10012
Soho
Le Mercerie – If you’re in Soho, go here if only to see it because it’s probably one of the most beautiful cafes in NYC right now. Trust me. Here is a picture I took the other day while checking it out. If you can’t sit for a while then grab a to-go cup of coffee and wander around the shop to view the furniture shop in the back or flower shop in the front on your way out. 53 Howard Street, New York, NY 10013
Upper West Side
Epicerie Boulud Cafe – I had a consulting job next to this cafe and the best part of that project was probably my daily trip to Boulud haha. The coffee and pastries are delicious and match the price but it’s worth it! Lincoln Center, 1900 Broadway 64th Street, New York, NY 10023

San Ambroeus – I recommend you stop here for more than just coffee since the food is so good but if you’re looking for a coffee and croissant this is your spot. 1000 Madison Avenue, New York, New York 10021

Devocion – From farm to a coffee bar – this coffee shop is legit! Not that the other’s on this list aren’t but Devocion gives you a full glimpse of the quality coffee from the beginning by sharing stories from the farmers in Colombia to making sure that when it gets to your cup is the freshest coffee you’ve ever had. Fort Greene, Brooklyn
Maison May Vanderbilt – I’m totally biased because we live a block away but this little piece of heaven spot in our area is a gem. Not sure if you caught the interview I did with the owner but read it here. Catherine created this lovely space to inspire – no laptops are allowed and the cafe is filled with cookbooks and beautiful home kitchen tablewares that she sells from local and global artisans. I have a soft spot for this place – it makes me happy. Oh, and the Colombian coffee (coincidentally happens to be from Devocion!) served is great! 270 Vanderbilt Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205
