Have you ever found yourself sitting on your couch feeling blah and needing some quick inspiration? Well, I hope so because that sure does happen to me a lot. haha! So what do I usually do when that happens? If my husband is not home (he gives me great advice!) then I quickly search for motivation quotes on Pinterest, or Instagram, and if that fails then I grab one of my coffee table books. I’m generally really into buying coffee table books with great art or home decor ideas because they look so pretty with my candles (obviously…lol) but also because they make for “quick” reads. I recently picked up a few books that I was dying to share with you guys! These are books that I know will look pretty on your table and also make you feel like conquering the world!

STRONG IS THE NEW PRETTY: Okay so read this carefully….THIS book is FANTASTIC!!! Not only is it great for adults but for young girls. If girls empowerment is your thing then this will fuel that passion! The book compiles photography and motivational anecdotes of different young girls around the world – young girls that are literally kicking ass!! TRUST ME – reading a page or two will get you off that couch in two seconds. 🙂

DARLING MAGAZINE: I’ve been eyeing this magazine at Anthropology for a while and finally bought it! If you are a dreamer, achiever, hostess, stylist, explorer, or intellectual then go run and buy it. It will give you life and career advice and only prints quarterly so it gives you enough time to get through each magazine. If you don’t want to order it – buy it at your nearest Anthropology store!

IN THE COMPANY OF WOMEN: This is still on my list to buy – it’s a compilation of inspiring stories and advice from women entrepreneurs – it’s suppose to be amazing – check it out!! Oh, and the cover and beautiful photography def. makes for a beautiful coffee table book.

THE NEW YORK TIMES 36 HOURS : I’ve been dying to buy this and just haven’t but if you’re a fan of the Nytimes travel section then you must! It gives you the “must do’s” in different cities – just reading this may inspire you to plan a vacation or dream a little. 🙂
