Insider Travel Intel: Chelsea Market

The Chelsea Market is pretty iconic for us New Yorkers. It’s a place where we seek refuge from the masses outside ( although one would argue that it gets really packed inside too). But whether you live here or are just visiting for a few days, adding this to your list is a must! This landmark is a food
hall, a shopping center, a gallery, and office space! You will find everything from flowers to groceries, books, pastry shops, to gift shops! I usually like to visit Anthropologie then walk to grab matcha at Chalait and pick up some fresh spices or tea leaves and finally grab some blooms for the house! Recently, they’ve also expanded the food options to the downstair area called, Chelsea Local which will feature a cheese shop, a fruit market, and other farm stands. This market is the perfect spot to meet friends on a Saturday morning to grab a quick bite and head to nearby areas like the High Line or the Whitney Museum.

So next time you’re in town or just hanging in the Meatpacking area, swing by the Chelsea Market. It truly has something for everyone!
