Editor’s Letter: Portugal Travel Memories

“In Portugal, we found culture, majestic beaches, and peaceful days in the countryside”.

Here we are, welcoming a new season when it felt like just the other day we were celebrating the beginning of warmer days. But such is life and time…fleeting and fast-paced.

There are many reasons why I love September.  I’m not sure if it’s because my mind still operates with the “school-year” (do you remember how exciting it was to attend the first day of school with your new supplies!?) but September for me signifies a new beginning…a new year and also the first month of Autumn.  Ah! Autumn…there’s nothing I love more than cooler temps when you can enjoy long walks with a hot beverage in hand dreaming of all the exciting things this new season will bring!

Well as much as I like to go on about the many reasons I love Autumn, funny enough this months content has nothing to do with Fall but instead of the new discoveries and travel memories, we recently made on our trip to Portugal. We just got back from our tour of Portugal and it was beyond what we had hoped for – I now get why the world is flocking to this southwest part of Europe.  Filled with magical beaches, culture, art and one buzzing and eclectic city – Portugal needs to be seen and experienced. In the next few weeks, we will be featuring guides, interviews, food stories, and hotel features – I’m beyond excited to dive into Portugal because whether you have a plane ticket or not, learning about a new place and people is always cool; amiright!?

I urge you to reach out to me if you have any questions about Portugal or any of the content on the site. I can’t wait for all that’s to come!

With Love,

Lourdes
